Agroecology air, precipitations and soils of the еxperimental fields of Institute of Agriculture, Kyustendil, Bulgaria
Anton Sotirovorcid
Abstract: The air conditions during last year were environmentally friendly for agriculture; there was no air contamination caused by people. Precipitations were rare but very intensive, sometimes over the limit. This is the reason for the not very rich harvest of various fruits, especially the cherries, apples, and plums typical for the livelihood of the region. The reason is associated with excessive rainfall, infections, and contagious diseases in fruit trees, as well as the salinization of soils resulting from excessive rainfall. The soil in the region is defined as suitable for fruit crops, but excessive rainfall turns them into problematic soils, and it is necessary to take various soil protection measures and measures to increase soil fertility.
