Creation of methodology for evaluation of soil conditions for cultivation of saffron (Crocus sativus)
Zornitsa Mitreva, Veselin Pankov, Veneta Krasteva, Vihra Stoyneva
Abstract: Saffron is a crop that has many uses, it is one of the most labor-intensive and expensive. In Bulgaria it can be grown on former tobacco soils. A methodology based on parametric approaches is presented. It is compatible with the physico-chemical analyzes performed in Bulgaria and the existing methods of evaluation of other crops. Five soil types from the Kardzhali and Blagoevgrad regions are evaluated.
