Cultivar structure of sweet cherry plantations in Bulgaria

Abstract: In the current article, an overview of the main sweet cherry cultivars grown in our country was made. Dynamic of cultivar structure is determined on characteristics like size of fruit and yield, blooming and ripening periods and different resistance to diseases and cold resistance.
Advantages and disadvantages of the cultivars were analyzed – ‘Bigarreau Burlat’, ‘Early Lory’, ‘Kossara’, ‘Bing’, ‘Summit’, ‘Sunburst’, ‘Van’, ‘Kordia’ and ‘Regina’.
