Physico-Chemical and Mineralogical Properties of Sandy Soils from the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast
I. Kirilov, M. Teoharov, I. Atanassova
Резюме: Studied were the carbonate contents, sorptive and mineralogical properties of Sandy Soils (Arenosols) from the Black sea zone of Bulgaria. They were characterized with neutral to slightly alkaline reaction. According to the carbonate contents they are noncarbonate, slightly carbonate, moderately carbonate and very carbonate. The sorption capacity varies from low to average. The primary minerals are inherited from the soil forming and sandy materials. Quartz is the most abundant mineral in all profiles and horizons, but in greater part of the studied soils in the A horizons, feldspars, micas and amphiboles are also present, which leads to higher sorption capacity of these soils than obtained for Arenosols from other regions in the world.
